A Summer Moment

A summer moment I want to remember:
A short ride in the car, early on an already-hot sunny day. My youngest, 13 years old, toes pushing against shoes suddenly too small, again (3 sizes and counting since May). "MOM! I want to hear this," he shushes, so he can listen to the radio report about Snowden, still in the transit area of the Moscow airport, possibly getting a ride out with the president of Venezuela.

Teenagers grow so crazy fast in so many ways it's almost dizzying to watch.
